Farley Speedway’s Modified Super Weekend, Purse, Entry Fee

Farley Speedway released entry fee and purse details for the 2017 Modified Super Weekend. Farley is billing the first ever event as the "largest paying Modified race in the history of dirt track racing in the state of Iowa",

The inaugural Modified Super Weekend is scheduled for May 11-13, 2017. Farley Speedway released details revealing information about their record purse, over $185,000. Modifieds will battle for a $50,000 top prize. SportMods will also race, and their winner's share is set at $20,000.

Entry is open to the first 140 drivers in each division. 30 Modifieds will take the green in the Modified Super Weekend main event which pays $1,000 to start. Three Modified non-qualifier events are slated to pay $750 to win and $200 to start.

The SportMod main event will also see 30 drivers racing in the main event paying $500 to start. The three SportMod non-qualifier events pay $400 to win and $125 to start.

Entry fee for Modifieds is set at $400 if received before April 1 and $500 after April 1. SportMod entry fee is $300 before April 1 and $400 after. Entry is open to the first 140 drivers received in each division. Any entry after that will be placed on a waiting list. The Modified Super Weekend Entry Form states "no refunds" and "one entry per driver".

As of press time, rules and sanction details we not readily available. Also no details were available if there was a minimum car count requirement for either division.

Thursday, May 11 will serve as an open practice night. Friday's action will feature qualifying races that will set the lineups for the Saturday's racing card. Saturday's action will consist of last chance and Championship races.
