A three-goal third period helped the Fargo Force outdistance the Waterloo Black Hawks 4-0 at Scheels Arena.

Fargo’s big finish began with a power play goal at 4:30 of the final period by Grant Hebert, set up from behind the Waterloo net by Nick Cardelli. Garrett Van Wyhe added to the lead at 10:17 when his centering pass caromed into the net off a Hawks leg. Van Wyhe then capped the scoring, shorthanded into an empty net at 17:13 after Waterloo had lifted Jared Moe for an extra attacker.

A scoreless deadlock had been maintained until 10:01 of the second. From a sharp angle, William Fallstrom spun a chance toward the net; it deflected off a Waterloo defender’s skate and into the net.

The Hawks and Force meet for the final time this season on Saturday night in Fargo. Waterloo will then pause for the USHL’s holiday break and return to action on the road against the Omaha Lancers on December 28th.
