Iowa is a great state. While I've only been here for a short amount of time; I've seen enough of Iowa to know that it is a wild and wonderful place to live. As long as you forget about those Iowa winters. I think it's a good enough state to have songs written about it, and apparently it has! I went deep diving for songs that were either written about Iowa or mention Iowa in the lyrics. Here are a few of the most unexpected ones that I found.

I've only been in Iowa for about two weeks, but I'm starting to pick up some of the key things that all Iowans know. I learned that it's always cold, but not cold enough that you necessarily need to dress like it, that ranch goes with everything, and that everyone is so nice.

I'm pretty new to the Cedar Valley, so I'm not familiar with all of the counties and towns yet. I do know that you all LOVE your ranch dressing. They make me super eager to explore Iowa and maybe take a little road-trip.

I don't know about you, but I'm not a HUGE fan of elevators. After riding the Tower of Terror ONCE at Disney World I thought, "Yeah...I hate this." There are a few absolutely gorgeous elevators out there in the world. I know what you might be thinking...

There is one thing that most country songs have in common...alcohol. Whether it be one margarita or two margaritas; country artists usually love their spirits.
