As a woman myself I can speak on this. We do not want a dozen roses on Valentine's Day, or a box of chocolates...but I won't say NO to chocolate...we want to feel appreciated. So, if you are dating, married to, or crushing on a woman in Iowa; here are a few things they would love to get this February 14th.

While it's tough to actually experience the full traditions that come with the Big Game when we're in the middle of a pandemic, there are certain things that just have to be done. For me, it was pizza, wings, and some wine (I forgot to grab some beer, sue me).

Zippia recently released a new survey that determined each and every single state's favorite Valentine candy. It turns out that most of the United States agrees with me! The majority of states actually choose chocolate Valentine candy over everything else. 45 of the states were found to prefer chocolate, and the most popular candy to give or receive on this February holiday is chocolate covered strawberries.

The past few months have been quite difficult for all of us, but even when things were REALLY tough the kids in our community showed us that they were even tougher. With adjusting to online learning in March, keeping up with homework, and making friends in the middle of a pandemic; the kids in our community have had a lot on their plate.

We spent some of our weekend chillin' at a cabin in nearby Fort Atkinson.

This was a very quiet weekend (again). I know, I'm so boring! I swear when there isn't a pandemic going on I am a very interesting and exciting person. It also was so cold out that I just wanted to stay in, drink wine, and cuddle up with a good book...wh...

I was once told that I am the human embodiment of a Dad joke, and I take that as a HUGE compliment. Bad jokes and me are like cream cheese on a bagel...we just go together. When I first got this job I made quite a few CORN-y jokes about my future home...

Iowa is one of Americas top 20 nerdiest states, and we should celebrate it!

A group of day traders on the social media app Reddit, came together to drive up the prices of several companies. The main two companies that saw massive growth from this were GameStop and AMC Theaters, both businesses have been struggling over the past few years. GameStop stock was up more than 1500 percent. AMC's stock increased by more than 200% on Wednesday.

There are exactly 61 roundabouts in the state of Iowa, according to Iowa's state website. All of the ones counted are all "modern" roundabouts that are currently in use around the state. The official count, according to this website, is three for Cedar Falls.
