Carrie Underwood has been announced as a performer at the upcoming 2018 American Music Awards. The "Love Wins" singer will join an eclectic lineup that includes Imagine Dragons, Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign.

The fan-voted awards show will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Oct. 9 8PM ET on ABC. Underwood will sing a song off her latest album, Cry Pretty — likely either the debut single, "Cry Pretty," or her latest, "Love Wins." The twelve-time American Music Award winning artist is also a 2018 nominee in the Favorite Female Artist – Country category. The show will mark Underwood's return to the AMAs stage for the first time since 2015.

She's in good company, as far as nominees go. Kane Brown leads the country genre with three nominations — he's up for Favorite Male Artist (Country), Favorite Album (Country) for his 2016 self-titled debut album and Favorite Song (Country) for his No. 1 single "Heaven." Thomas RhettFlorida Georgia Line and Dan + Shay pulled two nods each. TR is also nominated as Favorite Male Artist - Country and Favorite Album - Country for Life Changes, while FGL are nominated in the category of Favorite Song - Country for their 42-week No. 1 hit with Bebe Rexha, "Meant to Be," plus Favorite Duo/Group Country. Dan + Shay are recognized with nods for Favorite Song - Country for "Tequila" as well as Favorite Duo/Group Country.

Additional country acts who are nominated for 2018 American Music Awards are Luke BryanLuke CombsKelsea BalleriniMaren Morris and Lanco. Thus far Underwood is the only country performer.
