Butler County Crash Injures Driver

Authorities are investigating a Butler County accident that sent one man to the hospital.

The Iowa State Patrol identified the injured man as Jesse Jepperson, 47, of Greene. Officials said Jepperson was hurt in a single-vehicle crash that occurred on County Road C-13, just east of Greene, around 9:30 PM on Tuesday (April 9, 2019).

According to an accident report, Jepperson was driving a westbound pick-up truck that veered to the left and entered a ditch near Ridge Ave. The vehicle then struck a field driveway embankment head-on, before coming to a rest in the field.

Jepperson was transported to a hospital in Charles City. The extent of his injuries weren't disclosed by authorities.
