Black Hawk County Officials: Stay Home This Easter

It's Easter weekend. The Jewish holiday Passover has also begun. As a result, normally many Cedar Valley residents would be traveling to visit family and spend a weekend, long weekend for some, celebrating the holiday. However, this year things are... different.

With the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing, Black Hawk County is discouraging travel to meet with family. In a press release sent to us, Black Hawk County Public Health Director Dr. Nafissa Cisse Egbuonye stated, quote,

We know many families gather together over Easter and Passover... but, like school, shopping and most other activities, we’re asking residents to modify their plans in light of COVID-19.

Luckily, there's many ways to actually see family during the spring holiday season. Popular apps like Zoom are available for free for example. All iPhone, iPad and iPod's have FaceTime, Skype and many other options remain available.
