Black Hawk County Authorities Investigating Child’s Death
Authorities are investigating the death of a child in Black Hawk County.
According to sheriff's officials, deputies received a report of a child not breathing around 7:40 AM on Wednesday (June 13, 2018). Emergency crews were then sent to a home at 7114 E. Dunkerton Road (County Road C-66), just west of Dunkerton.
Sheriff's officials said the child was pronounced dead after being transported to a Waterloo hospital. Authorities did not release the age or gender of the child.
According to a press release, an autopsy will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
No other details were released.
