Scheels Bat Demo Day, Saturday, April 2, 2016

Scheels Bat Demo Day, presented by Easton, will talk place at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex. Baseball and softball players of all ages will be able to try the huge variety of bats from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The first 100 participates will receive a free t-shirt. Plus, everyone can sign up to win one of four $25 Scheels gift cards or a Wilson A2000 glove.

Bucky Doren talked with Scheels Associate and Scheels Baseball Expert Doug Eisenman about the upcoming demo day. The two talked about a few things to consider when buying a bat, especially for parents that might be new to the bat buying experience.

Eisenman played college baseball for Central College (Pella, IA). He is tied for second on Central's individual career pitching leaderboard for saves, and he also is tied for the most appearances by a pitcher in a single season for the Dutch. Eisenman has even spent time as a high school coach.

Topics include sizing a bat, composite versus aluminum, and more.
