Following an investigation into a traffic accident last month, the Fayette County sheriff has filed charges against a Greeley woman.

Just before 9pm Wednesday, March 30th, the sheriff received a report of a vehicle that rolled on "E" Avenue, just south of Arlington. Before deputies arrived, the driver had fled the scene. The car was totaled.

Later that same evening, authorities received information that the vehicle in the rollover, had been reported stolen from Delaware County.

Investigating officers determined that 27 year old Paige Abbot of Greeley was driving north when she lost control and rolled the car in the ditch. Authorities also found out that Abbot's driving status was suspended in the state of Iowa.

She was then charged with driving while suspended and failure to maintain control.

The Fayette County sheriff was assisted by the Delware County sheriff, Arlington fire department, and Arlington Ambulance service.
