Nashua Man Dies When Pickup Hits His Bicycle

An accident involving a pickup and a bicycle in Floyd County has taken the life of a Nashua man.

The crash happened just before noon Wednesday (June 8, 2016) on Floyd County Road T-64, west of Nashua.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a southbound pickup driven by Todd Schriever, 50, of Marble Rock, collided with a southbound bicycle, operated by Robert Philips, 69, of Nashua.

Philips was taken by air ambulance to the Floyd County Hospital in Charles City, but died from his injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
