Authorities have arrested a Charles City man, for allegedly breaking into local establishments, and stealing money from gaming machines.

The Floyd County Sheriff and Charles City Police had executed a search warrant last month at a home on 16th Avenue in Charles City, where they seized multiple items.

As a result of the investigation, 39 year old Daniel Connerley of Charles City has been taken into custody on charges of ongoing criminal conduct, second degree theft, third degree theft, possession of a controlled substance-second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Connerley is accused of entering businesses in Colwell, Floyd and Charles City, on July 7th, August 11th and August 13th, taking an undetermined amount of cash from gaming machines.

Connerley was being held on $34,300 cash bond, with a preliminary hearing set for August 24th.
