20-Year-Old Tries To Use “McLovin” ID To Drink At Iowa Bar

I swear some of these criminals just get dumber by the day. We have all known at one point or another in our lives someone who has tried to use a fake ID to get into a bar. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't... but a sure fire way it won't work? When you use the exact same fake ID from a popular movie.

A 20-year-old was drinking at a bar in Iowa City on Friday when cops showed up to do a sweep through of the bar and check IDs. Unfortunately for Daniel Burleson this did not end well for him. When he gave his real ID to cops they saw he was underage but the story does not stop there. The cops also saw that he had a fake ID in his wallet and it was a pretty recognizable one.

The fake ID was a Hawaii driver's license with the name McLovin and a picture of McLovin on it. This is, of course, from the movie "Superbad" where one of the characters gets a fake Hawaii driver's license that says his name is "McLovin." Daniel said he bought it off Amazon.

He was arrested for  possession of a fake ID, public intoxication, minor in possession of alcohol, and being in a bar while underage. Make this a lesson kids: don't get a fake ID from a famous movie off Amazon... or you know, don't get a fake ID at all is a way better lesson.
