You Wouldn’t Guess This Is The Warmest City In Iowa
With warmer temperatures the next few days, you may have actually forgotten about winter for a few minutes and started looking ahead to summer. Here is the warmest city in the Hawkeye state where you can make the most of it.
The honor actually goes to two towns, Burlington and Shenandoah, which have an average temp of 63 degrees annually.
Burlington is located in Des Moines County in southeast Iowa, bordering the Mississippi River, and is known for Snake Alley, widely recognized as the most crooked street in the world.
Shenandoah is nestled near the East Nishnabotna River in southwest Iowa.
Iowa City & Keokuk were the next-warmest, with an average of 62 degrees. Let’s hope we get some of these warmer temps sooner rather than later!
