Remember last week when it was in the 60s and 70s? You probably thought "Hey, that sure feels like springtime weather to me." Well, one last (fingers crossed) batch of winter weather is on its way.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our area beginning Sunday afternoon.

Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Cerro Gordo and Grundy Counties are among those expected to receive heavy snowfall. CBS 2 reports that snow accumulations of 5+ inches are possible for areas north of Highway 20. The National Weather Service warns that traveling could be dangerous due to slick road conditions and low visibility.

Light snow is expected to fall beginning around noon on Sunday, but will become heavier late Sunday afternoon and evening before tapering off overnight Monday.

As is the case with weather, the forecast could change throughout the next few days. Keep checking this page and CBS 2 for the most current updates.

Let's hope that after this week, we won't have to deal with the "w" or "s" words again for quite some time.
