The week seven Iowa high school football schedule includes a trio of games featuring head-to-head match-ups of rated teams. Each winner takes control of its district race Friday night (October 10, 2014) with two regular-season games remaining.

In Class-A, third-ranked AGWSR of Ackley will clinch the District Four championship with a victory over fifth-rated Gladbrook-Reinbeck. A win would guarantee the Cougars (6-0, 4-0) at least a share of the district crown, but they would earn the district's No. 1 playoff seed because of the head-to-head tie-breaker against the Rebels (5-1, 3-0). AGWSR ends the regular-season with a non-district game.

In Class-1A, District Four, 9th-ranked Dike-New Hartford (5-1, 3-0) hosts 2nd-ranked South Winneshiek of Calmar (6-0, 3-0) in a rematch of last year's second-round playoff game. Friday's game at the Gunderson Sports Complex in Dike marks the first regular-season meeting between the Wolverines and Warriors.

The other top-10 match-up is in Class-4A, District Five. Ninth-ranked Cedar Falls (5-1, 2-0)  travels to Marion to play No. 10 Linn-Mar (5-1, 2-0). The former Mississippi Valley Conference rivals have met 13 previous times since the series started with a playoff game in 1986. Cedar Falls is seeking its seventh-straight win over the Lions.

In eight-player football, there are a pair of marquee games featuring district co-leaders. In District Three, fifth-ranked Janesville (6-0, 4-0) hosts Northwood-Kensett (4-2, 4-0). In District Five, No. 2 Don Bosco of Gilbertville (6-0, 4-0) plays at Colo-Nesco (5-1, 4-0).
