Investigators are hoping a new web page will make it easier to get and distribute information in the unsolved abduction and murders of Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook-Morrissey.

The Evansdale Police Department has created a link on its website that the public can access to obtain pertinent information on the case. Officers also plan to use the page to post updates on the status of the investigation.

To access the information, web users should go to www.evansdalepolice.org, then click on the link titled, "Latest On Lyric and Elizabeth". Viewers will be sent to a page dedicated to the investigation where they may scroll through various articles and information that is being released.

On the page, there is a "Suspect Info" link that includes possible characteristics of the suspect(s) authorities are looking for. The "Contact Info" section has details on tip lines and donations.

According to Evansdale Police Chief Kent Smock, the website will be updated as information becomes available and is to be released to the public. Smock says anyone interested in staying up-to-date on the case, should visit the site often to check for updated information.

Collins, 8, and Cook-Morrissey, 10, are believed to have been abducted while riding their bicycles in Evansdale on July 13, 2012. The cousins were later found dead in a secluded, rural area of Bremer County. No arrests have been made in their deaths.

Smock continues to encourage anyone with information about the case to call the tip line at 319-232-6682 or contact crimestoppers at either 855-300-TIPS (8447) or www.cvcrimestop.com. A reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case has grown to more than $170,000. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for the reward.
