Waterloo Police Make An Arrest In Connection With November Robbery

Police have made an arrest in a Nov. 18th robbery at Save More Foods on Franklin St in Waterloo.

Charles Earl Jones allegedly entered the business and exchanged gunfire with one of the employees that was also armed with a handgun.

Shortly after the robbery, Jones reported that he had sustained a gunshot wound in the area of West Ninth and Leavitt streets.

After further investigation, evidence was located that linked Jones to the robbery.

Jones was arrested this week for first-degree robbery, going armed with intent, carrying weapons, and intimidation with a dangerous weapon. He was also arrested for filing a false report.
