Waterloo Man, Dead in an Assault, Sustained Several Stab Wounds

More information has been released regarding a deadly assault in Waterloo early this morning.

Authorities were called to a home in the 1600 block of Randolph Street at about 4:30 this (Friday) morning.

A man, who had been stabbed several times, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The man's name has not yet been released, however sources say the victim and the assailant apparently knew each other. No arrests have been reported.

An autopsy on the victim has been scheduled for Saturday.
