Andrew James Allen Brewer thought he could evade Waterloo Police on May 2nd. Police chased Brewer as he sped down residential streets at speeds exceeding 70 MPH. Watch the video below.

Brewer claimed that he was bleeding so badly, from a fight that police were responding to,  that he thought he was going to bleed to death and he was heading to the hospital to get treatment. When he saw the squad cars he claims he was freaking out because he would die before getting to the hospital, so he sped up.

Unfortunately for Mr. Brewer, a tree and a house jumped in front of his van and he was stopped instantly.

Brewer was sentenced to 180 days in jail for Eluding Officers. When he is done serving that sentence he will serve 3 to 5 years of probation for Criminal Mischief, which will start with 1 year at a residential facility.

I'm fascinated by high speed chases. I never want to be in one, but from the dash cam video point of view, it's amazing.
