The top-ranked Wartburg wrestling team looks to make history this weekend at the NCAA National Championships.

The Knights have won the last three national titles and have 10 in program history. With a championship this weekend, Wartburg would make NCAA Division-III history as being the only team to four-peat and the 11th title would tie Augsburg's NCAA-leading total.

The Knights have the most qualifiers for this weekend's championships with its nine. Augsburg has eight and Concordia-Moorhead has seven. Six schools have six qualifiers.

Wartburg's 133-pounder Kenny Anderson enters the weekend as a two-time National Champion and is seeking to become the third three-time NCAA champion in school history. He would become the 13th three-time NCAA Champion if he wins the 133 title this weekend. Wartburg's other qualifiers are Gilberto Camacho at 125 pounds, Connor Campo at 141, Mark Pinero at 149, Brett Yonkovic at 157 pounds, Cole Welter at 165, and Landon Williams at 174, a returning two-time All-American who has a team-best 37 wins and is undefeated against Division-III opponents.

The Knights' other qualifiers are Puna Soriano at 197 pounds and Ryan Fank at 285. The senior from Independence is also a returning two-time All-American who is 34-2 this season with a career record 113-29.

Preliminary rounds at the NCAA Division-III National Championships begin at 11 a.m. today (Friday, March 14, 2014). Championship matches will be wrestled starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The tournament is being held at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
