On Saturday, February 1, 2014, the Wartburg Knights men's and women's basketball teams host a double-header with the Buena Vista Beavers.

The women played game one, and it took a buzzer-beater for the Beavers to steal the win from the Knights, 73-70.  Wartburg had a chance to win the game as time was winding down in regulation, but were not able to score.  That lead the two teams to play overtime.  Buena Vista hit the game-winning three-point basket at the buzzer in overtime to win 73-70.

The men's teams wrapped up the evening, and Buena Vista defeated Wartburg 79-62 Saturday to claim both meetings this season.

Junior Clay Cook (West Branch) had a team-high 11 points. Senior Eddie Diemer (Cedar Falls) joined him in double figures with 10 points. Diemer and freshman Nick Weber (Peosta) co-led the team on the boards with six rebounds on the night.

Next Up: Wartburg wraps up a three-game homestand Wednesday when they hosts Dubuque for another men's/women's double-header.
