Vehicle Strikes House in Waterloo

Waterloo police are investigating a traffic accident, involving a house.

At about 10:45pm Wednesday, a northbound vehicle on Ansborough Avenue, went off the road, and struck a duplex located in the 300 block of Martin Road.

The car crashed through the corner of the building, continued for a short distance, then hit a tree, where it came to a stop.

The driver, who has not been identified, fled on foot, but was later located by police.

No injuries were reported. The house sustained considerable damage. No word on who owns the building.
