US Military Begin Bombing on Islamic State Targets

Breaking News! The United States military has begun a military action against Islamic State Targets in Syria.

Operations at this time are on going, so the United States military leadership is not in the position to provide more details.  This is story is developing at this time.  Updates will be added.

On September 10, 2014, President Obama authorized U.S. airstrikes inside Syria.  This was an attempt to root out the Islamic State militant group also known as ISIS and ISIL.

"I have made it clear that we will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are. That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq.” President Obama.
