A nationwide search, that began in Black Hawk County, has been called off as the missing NE Iowa man has been found.

Early this morning, (Thursday, March 24th) around 1:00 AM, the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office was notified that the Waterloo Police had located Chad Dempster at a motel in Waterloo. Dempster had been reported missing by his wife on March 22, 2016. He was last seen by her on March 20, 2016 and at that time stated that he was headed for a relatives residence in southern Iowa. He did not show up at that location.

Dempster was alright when officers made contact with him and gave no reason for his actions.

A nation-wide attempt to locate had been entered on Dempster and has now been cancelled. Dempster's wife was notified that her husband was located.
