There are many traditions in college football, but Iowa may have just started the best one of all time and it has nothing to do with football.

You never really know when or how a tradition starts. You often here, "It's just what we've always done." Whether it be the "Jump Around" at Wisconsin, planting the spear at Florida State, or acknowledging "Touchdown Jesus" at Notre Dame it seems that every team has a unique tradition.

Across the street from the Hawkeye's Kinnick Stadium is the new University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. With plenty of windows that look into the stadium, it gives a chance for the kids at the hospital to see the games. Then, after a social media suggestion to their Hawkeye Heaven Facebook Page that went viral, at the end of the first quarter, the almost sold out crowd of 60,000 people all stood and waved at the children overlooking the game. This will happen at every Iowa home game from now on.

Clearly the newest and best of all the college football traditions.
