University of Northern Iowa senior forward Seth Tuttle has been named the Missouri Valley Conference men’s basketball player of the week for the second consecutive week – and sixth time in his career.

Tuttle (Sheffield, Iowa/West Fork HS) tallied a career-high 29 points in leading No. 18 UNI to a 70-54 win over No. 12 Wichita State on Saturday in the McLeod Center. Tuttle made 9-of-13 shots from the field and drained 10-of-13 free throws while grabbing seven rebounds against the Shockers. It marked the 18th career 20-point scoring game of his career.

Earlier in the week, Tuttle earned his 20th career double-double (fourth of this season) with 13 points and 10 rebounds in a 59-52 road win over Southern Illinois. Tuttle averaged 21.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.0 spg and 1.5 apg in helping UNI to a 2-0 week.

Tuttle was named the CBSSports.com national player of the week. ESPN’s Andy Katz named Tuttle his national player of the week as well.
