The University of Northern Iowa men’s basketball team (6-6 overall) will ring in the New Year against the Bradley Braves (5-8 overall) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center.

WINNING TRADITION AT MCLEOD:
UNI has posted an all-time mark of 91-26 (.778) in games played in the McLeod Center. The McLeod Center was completed in November 2006. UNI posted a school-record best 16 home wins in the 2012-13 season. The previous mark of 15 home wins was set in the 1989-90 season. UNI has posted a pair of perfect home seasons since moving to NCAA Division I. UNI was a perfect 14-0 in the 1983-84 and the 2009-10 seasons. UNI set its home win streak of 21 consecutive victories between the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons.

SCHEDULE STRENGTH:
According to the RPI Report, UNI has posted a non-conference strength of schedule ranking of No. 36 in the nation heading into Wednesday’s game vs. Bradley. The Panthers are ranked No. 89 in in the RPI Report.

DEON DOES IT AGAIN:
Mitchell posted a game-high 20 points and dished out seven assists in leading UNI to a 90-78 non-conference win over Iona on Saturday.  Mitchell tied a career-high with four 3-pointers against the Gaels. Mitchell shot 6-of-10 from the field and drained 4-of-5 free throws vs. Iona. He leads the Panthers in scoring on the season at 13.6 points per game.

SETH’S SUPERLATIVES:
UNI junior forward Seth Tuttle recorded his 13th career double-double with 15 rebounds and 11 points in a 90-78 win over Iona. The 15 rebounds was the most by a UNI Panther player since Eric Coleman nabbed 15 rebounds vs. Illinois State (March 8, 2008) at the MVC Tournament. His 15 boards against Iona also tied him for the most rebounds ever by a UNI player in the McLeod Center (held by Grant Stout and Jordan Eglseder).
