Tyler Hubbard Undergoes Back Surgery Over Thanksgiving Holiday
Tyler Hubbard spent his Thanksgiving holiday having, and then recovering from, back surgery. The singer underwent the procedure to alleviate recurring back pain that he's been dealing with for years.
Hubbard, one-half of Florida Georgia Line, shared on Instagram on Friday (Nov. 24) a collection of videos and pictures of him looking dazed and confused in a hospital bed post-surgery. He admits that he's pretty drugged up in the pictures and videos, which explains his goofy behavior.
"Ya boy was feeling like I just drank a whole bottle of @oldcampwhiskey ... the hospital had that good stuff," Hubbard writes, before getting serious: "On a real note I am so thankful to have my back fixed and on its way to being 100% again ... I’ve been dealing with this for years and tried everything to avoid surgery but I’m so glad It’s over incase you can’t tell by the smile on my face."
Hubbard's wife, Haley, also was on the social media platform not only expressing gratitude that her husband's surgery went well but poking some fun at Hubbard, too. She writes, "Wish I had the video of him coming out of surgery entertaining the nurses by singing Michael Jackson ..."
Hubbard will have plenty of time to recover from his back surgery: FGL's next scheduled show isn't until February. Although the break will be good for his recovery, Hubbard admits that taking it easy isn't his strong suit: "Now I start the hardest part for me ... laying around the house and trying to be still until recovery is over. #bored," he writes.
The Hubbards also have a new baby coming soon: Hayley is pregnant with a baby girl. She is due in December.
