Two NEI Food Bank Events Coming, Chris Soules to Help [Listen]

The North East Iowa Food Bank has two major fundraising events coming up. Former ABC 'The Bachelor' and ' Dancing with the Stars' star Chris Soules will lend his support.

Combat Hunger runs April 1-3, 2016, and the goal is to increase awareness about hunger in Northeast Iowa. Area grocery stores will participate during the three-day event. Volunteers will be on hand to take donations (food & money), and there will be an option to donate when you check out. The Hy-Vee and Fareway stores in Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Waverly will participate. Also Hometown Foods and Randall’s in Hudson will join the effort.

On Thursday, April 14, 2016, the NEI Food Bank will host their annual Empty Bowls event at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center (Waterloo, IA). Former ABC 'The Bachelor' and ' Dancing with the Stars' star Chris Soules joins the festivities. To learn more, click here.
