I have a reputation of drawing rain to any outdoor event I try to organize. My friends like to remind me of that fact when ever they can.

Recently I was reminded of "my reputation of bringing rain to an outdoor event". A good friend of mine decided to once again let me know that I'm the bringer of rain, but the joke was on him. In the end, He was the one holding the umbrella, but no rain fell on the event.

I run a youth baseball league in Black Hawk County area, the Cedar Valley Baseball League. The forecast this past Wednesday called for a "more than likely" chance of rain. To be honest, it didn't look promising for the six games I had scheduled.

You ever consider organizing a sports league in a drought stricken area like Africa?" - Bucky Doren's former friend (LoL)

Early Wednesday afternoon it was raining where he was at in the Cedar Valley, and he decided to send me a text message.

His text read, "You ever consider organizing a sports league in a drought stricken area like Africa?"

Thanks to Mother Nature finally giving me a little love, all six games were played without incident.

It might be time to find some new friends. Love you like a brother, Dana.
