An Eastern Iowa teen faces several charges after leading Buchanan County Deputies on a chase into Linn County.

The incident started at about 6:00 PM Saturday (April 9) southeast of Quasqueton, when a Buchanan County deputy tried to pull over a vehicle near 310th street and Stewart Avenue.

The car, driven by 18 year old Chase Zerba of Coggon, did not stop; Zerba tried to elude the deputy, but the chase came to an end in Linn County, in the 2200 block of Seven Hills Road, southwest of Coggon.

Zerba was arrested on charges of eluding, possession of marijuana, possession of another controlled substance- Alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, failure to obey a stop sign, and no proof of insurance.

The incident is still under investigation.

The Buchanan County Sheriff was assisted by Sheriff's departments in Linn and Delaware Counties.
