Summer is meant for concerts, and it seems like Tanya Tucker agrees. The country music icon is extending her current tour into the dog days of summer.

Tucker kicked off the second part of her tour on Memorial Day weekend with a show in Cape May, N.J. Her tour continues with 13 more dates spanning all across the country. The run of shows concludes at the end of September in New York.

The Academy of Country Music announced Tucker will be honored with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award during the 10th Annual ACM Honors, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

After several years away from touring and making new music, Tucker returned to the spotlight in 2015. After the death of her parents and a botched cosmetic surgery, the 57-year-old country star suffered through severe bouts of depression.

“I probably spent half a million dollars on doctors,” she told Closer Weekly. “I took medications, did shock treatments and tried everything with the exception of being put into a straitjacket.”
