To help alleviate the pressure, Governor Kim Reynolds signed a planting proclamation that would lessen some transportation requirements as we get into planting season.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines says that heavy, wet snow will continue across northern and eastern Iowa through the day. The snow could be mixed with rain/freezing rain this morning making for a tricky morning commute.
