Watch the incredible story here.

The first therapeutic riding centers came to the United States in 1960. There are now 800 centers in the United States with five located in Iowa. -All centers affiliate with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, PATH Int.

One of the non-profit horse therapy organizations is located right here in the Cedar Valley. See The Aspire Therapeutic Horse Riding Program's story here.

Therapeutic Riding helps with a wide range of physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities including autism, stoke, learning disabilities, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida and many more.
