Second Iowa High School Softball Rankings (June 5)
Ten teams from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa are featured in the second softball rankings of the season, released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) on June 5, 2015.
AGWSR is the highest rated area team. The Cougers ascended to the top of Class-1A poll, moving up three spots since debuting at No. 4 in the inaugural survey last week. Kee High, Don Bosco, Janesville and North Butler are also ranked among the top 15 in 1A.
Perennial state power BCLUW is ranked 8th in Class-2A, moving up two spots from No. 10 last week. Jesup is making its debut in the rankings this week. The J-Hawks are rated 14th after winning six of seven games to open the season.
The Class-3A rankings feature Center Point-Urbana at No. 4 and Waterloo Columbus Catholic at No. 12. Since debuting at No. 15 last week, the Sailors moved up three spots by opening the season with five-straight wins.
Waverly-Shell Rock has also started its season strong. The Go-Hawks moved into the top 10 in Class-4A this week after debuting at No. 12.
