The Oelwein Community school board will meet in special session tonight (Jan. 4) to take the next step in looking for a new superintendent.
Current head admministrator, Dan Diercks, has announced that he is resigning, effective July 30th; no reason was given for his resignation.

The Oelwein school board has hired Dave Else Leadership Group to help the district find a replacement.

The company will meet with the board tonight to discuss and concur on the specifics of the search process, a general timeline, and marketing strategies.

Tonight's meeting starts at 6pm in the Oelwein school administration office.
