Sam Hunt took his show to the streets on Wednesday (June 6): He carried a performance of his new single "Downtown's Dead" down the sidewalks and into the honky-tonks of Broadway in downtown Nashville.

Readers can press play above to watch Hunt wander through the crowds and bars on his way to the 2018 CMT Music Awards stage. Fans follow Hunt as he meanders from spot to spot along Lower Broadway, popping into a couple bars before he winds up on a large stage in the middle of the street to finish the song against a backdrop of exploding fireworks.

Hunt's charismatic performance was one of many at the annual awards show this year. The 2018 CMT Music Awards took place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, but Hunt was one of a few acts who performed for fans outside the venue.

"Downtown's Dead," which is Hunt's latest single, is the first new music he's released since he dropped "Body Like a Back Road" in 2017. The new song is an ode to his shift from the party lifestyle of the early days of his career to a more settled life with his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler. The couple got married in 2017.

Hunt says he's still a little way out from a whole new album, but he is set to release another new track, "Nothing Lasts Forever" in the near future. He recently performed the song live during a show.
