Former K-98.5 on-air personality has a mass on his frontal lobe of his brain and is in need of your help.

DJ's have come and gone through the years at K-98.5, and the remaining staff has stayed in touch with many of them. After all, they will always be part of our family. K-98.5 alum Jaden Miller, better known to the Cedar Valley as "Big Jay", was with the station for many years.

Miller started out on-air from 7 PM till 12 Midnight back in 1998, when the station was known as 'The Hog', and later moved to 10 AM to 2 PM weekdays a few years later.

"Big Jay" has a personality that matches his name. He has an infectious laugh and clever wit that always seems to draw people in. There was never a dull moment working with him on or off the air. We still laugh and share stories about him years later.

A few years ago Jaden Miller (Big Jay) was diagnosed with Renal Disease and was receiving dialysis 3 times a week. During one of his dialysis sessions in January, he lost his balance, causing him to take a couple of falls. He was rushed to the hospital and it was later discovered through CAT Scan that he has a mass about 3 cm in diameter with swelling and bleeding on the frontal lobe of his brain.

He continues to struggle with his health and his doctors are struggling to come up with answers. A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up for Big Jay and his family and we are encouraging all or our K-Country listeners to take some time to read his story and make a donation. Most of all we are asking for your prayers for Jaden and his family. May God send his doctors the wisdom they need to make him better and may he give Jaden and his family the strength to keep fighting for a cure.

Big Jay, if you can read this, we love you buddy. Keep fighting. Don't give up. And to his wife Lanette, stay strong. You have a lot of prayers from the Cedar Valley coming your way.
