Police Seek Information In Fatal Waterloo Shooting
Waterloo police are asking for the public's help in a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old female late Friday (Nov. 11, 2016).
Officers responded to multiple reports of shots being fired in the area of E. 4th and Newell streets around 11 p.m. A short time later, they learned that a young woman had been shot at the intersection of Linn and Gable streets.
The victim was initially transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment of her injuries. Due to the severity of her wounds, she was subsequently transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Police confirmed she later died.
Authorities are expected to release the woman's name on Sunday,
