The Waterloo Regional Airport has some very impressive numbers to report for 2015 and 2016. According to figures, passenger use in 2015 increased over 11% from the previous year. January 2016 numbers were also up over 21% compared to the same time last year, making it the best January since 2008.

Keith Kaspari, Director of Waterloo Regional Airport stated, "January 2016 travel data is great news for passengers of the Cedar Valley region.  American Airline's new flight schedule, excellent service, competitively priced airfares, hundreds of domestic and international connections through Chicago O'Hare, affordable $5 per day parking and a new late winter flight schedule, continues to place the Waterloo Regional Airport in favorable position to continue the growth of passenger base for both leisure and business travelers."

"When taking into account the time and gas needed to drive to the larger airports in and outside Iowa, the possible adverse winter weather, higher parking fees, and longer lines at check-in and security screening, passengers are realizing the many advantages by utilizing the Waterloo Regional Airport."  - Keith Kaspari, Director of Waterloo Regional Airport

Kaspari provided closing comment, "The Increases seen over CY 2015 and so far in CY 2016 can be directly attributed to the relationships developed with local media over the past 15-month period. The marketing and branding of the Airport have been keys to relaying the message that the Waterloo Regional Airport has a competitively priced product for our passengers, including Waterloo Broadcasting. We look forward to continuing the partnership in the coming years.
