The University of Northern Iowa Panthers football program fell in a fourth quarter shootout to the No. 2 ranked North Dakota State Bison, 31-28 on October 10, 2015. UNI is 2-3 overall this season.

UNI headed into the second half with a 14-10 lead, but were outscored 21-14 in the fourth quarter. A late offensive drive by the Bison with 35 seconds left in the game sealed their victory, extending its home winning streak to 26 games.

Sawyer Kollmorgen finished the game 5-12-1 for 103 yards and a touchdown, adding 59 rushing yards. Aaron Bailey took the reins in the second half, notching a career-high 157 yards on the ground and an 83-yard rushing touchdown.

Daurice Fountain scored his second 100-plus yard receiving game, bringing in 110 yards through the air on four catches. On the defensive side of the ball, Brett McMakin led both teams with 13 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss of five yards.

Unfortunately, the Bison scored the final points of the game with 35 seconds left on the clock to secure its victory. Wentz linked up with Shepherd for his second touchdown of the game (18 yards), making the final score 31-28.

NEXT UP: The UNI Panthers will return to action when they host Missouri Valley Conference foe Western Illinois on Oct. 17 for Homecoming. The game will kick off at 4:00 PM.
