One Person Dead in Rollover Accident on Highway 13

One person has died in a rollover accident east of Cedar Rapids.

The accident happened shortly after 2:30pm Thursday (March 30) along Highway 13, near Bertram.

A northbound car went out of control, crossed the median, and rolled onto it's top in the southbound lane of Highway 13.

The driver, a 19 year old female, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not released. An 18 year old male passenger was not hurt. Both were wearing seat belts at the time.

The accident is under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
