No. 1 Wartburg Clinches Share of 23rd Consecutive IIAC Championship [VIDEO]

The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team (16-1 overall, 6-0 IIAC) clinched a share of its 23rd consecutive Iowa Conference Championship and 33rd overall title in the 35-3 win over No. 17 Coe (7-8, 4-2).

Powered by nine out of ten match wins, Wartburg won its 23rd consecutive Iowa Conference Championship. The Knights continue to extend their NCAA Division III wrestling record streak as the old mark was 17 set by Augsburg (1987-2003). The Knights have now won 180 consecutive duals against Iowa Conference opponents.

Eric Clarke (141#) and Ben Nagle (28#) won their team-best 22nd victories of the season. Nagle moved his winning streak to 20

Jake Agnitsch (125#) increased his winning streak to seven and earned his 19th win of the season. Connor Campo (133#) earned his 20th win of the season.
