NE Iowa Teen Arrested for School Bomb Threat
A rural Arlington teenager is facing charges for allegedly leaving a hand-written bomb threat at a local school.
At about 10am Wednesday, the Fayette County Sheriff received a call from the Starmont High School near Arlington, that they found a written bomb threat.
Deputies, county fire inspector and other authorities went to the school, but soon after arriving, found that the threat was not credible; no incendiary or explosive device was found, and no one was injured.
Following an investigation, 16 year old Logan James Druecker was arrested on a charge of making a threat, which is a class "D" felony.
Druecker was initially taken to the Fayette County Sheriff's office in West Union, then later released to a guardian. Druecker will be referred to juvenile authorities.
