A young New Hampton man faces a list of charges after leading Fayette County authorities on a high-speed chase.

The incident began shortly after 7pm Tuesday, on county road V-68, just south of Waucoma.

A car, driven by 21 year old Garett Gary Tolliver, was observed by a Fayette County deputy, traveling over 100 miles an hour, northbound on the county road.

The officer tried to stop the car, but Tolliver led a chase for several miles, turning east onto 275th street.

He was eventually pulled over and arrested. Tolliver is being charged with: eluding a law enforcement vehicle, OWI 2nd offense, driving while his license is revoked, reckless driving, failure to maintain control, and speeding.

Tolliver was held in the Fayette County jail in West Union, until his initial court appearance.
