There must be something in the water in Nashville. It sure seems like a tidal wave of baby announcements coming out of Music City lately.

They've been calling Nashville 'Smashville' because of their NHL team the Predators and their Stanley Cup run, but they might as well call it (Diaper) Rashville too. By my count, there has been 10 'we're expecting' announcements since December. Was it that cold this past winter in Nashville?

The most recent couple to announce that they are expecting is Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard. Hubbard and his wife Hayley are expecting. They have Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren to thank, or maybe blame - depending on the day once the baby arrives (Read More).

Back in May, Jason Aldean and wife Brittney posted on Instagram. The picture featured the two of them wearing special 'Baby Daddy' & 'Baby Mama' t-shirts. They were poising in their kitchen with a bun in the oven (See Picture).

Then there was LoCash‘s Chris Lucas and wife Kaitlyn's announcement (Read More). The other half of LoCash, Preston Brust, and wife Kristen welcomed a girl named Love in January.

Speaking of January, that's when Justin Moore posted on Instagram that, "Kate and I would like to let all of you know that we will be adding to our family, once again. No more dogs, thankfully!" This will mark their fourth child (Read More).

Also this year... Clay Walker and wife Jessica spilled the beans that they were expecting their fourth child.

To start the year off, Lee Brice and his wife Sara shared they will become parents again. Their third child is expected later this summer (Read More).

Before we closed out 2016, we saw announcements from Ashley Monroe, Love and Theft‘s Stephen Barker Liles, and Dan + Shay announced they were going to add to their families.

Thomas Rhett trumped them all when he and his wife Lauren Akins were adding not one, but two new kids to their family. The two had given up trying to get pregnant and quietly went about adopting a child. Then then they received the good news that Lauren was expecting. Take that everyone else (Read More).

I think it might be time to open a diaper store in Nashville this summer.
