Authorities have identified a body found in rural Black Hawk County as that of a missing Waterloo man.

In a news release, sheriff's officials said they don't suspect foul play in the death of Denis Maric, 23. His body was discovered at the Turkey Ridge Wildlife Area southwest of Janesville on Friday (Feb. 16, 2018).

Deputies were called to the 8900 block of Winslow Road to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked near the entrance of the wildlife area. Authorities said the vehicle matched a description of the vehicle Maric was believed to driving when he was reported missing by family members on Thursday.

According to sheriff's officials, deputies located Maric's body in a wooded area approximately 200 yards from the park's entrance around 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
