Miss Iowa Teen USA is from NE Iowa!

A young Northeast Iowa woman has been crowned Miss Iowa Teen USA.

The 2016 Miss Iowa USA and Miss Iowa Teen USA pageants were held Sunday night at the Newton High School auditorium in Newton, Iowa.

A panel of judges selected Hannah Bockhaus of Tripoli as the new Miss Iowa Teen USA 2016.

And Alissa Morrison of Davenport was voted Miss Iowa USA 2016.

Last year, the 2015 Miss Iowa USA was Taylor Even of Jesup.

Both Hannah and Alissa will receive thousands of dollars in prizes and awards, plus have the opportunity to compete for the national title of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA next year.

Hannah Bockhaus is the daughter of Mark and Kelly Bockhaus of Ionia; she goes to Tripoli High School.

The new Miss USA will go on to represent the United States in the Miss Universe Competition.
