Edgy country diva Miranda Lambert took home a big one at the 2015 ACM Awards this year — and we’re pretty sure the co-host had nothing to do with it.

Lambert won Album of the Year for Platinum, which was released in June 2014 and features the hit singles "Automatic," "Somethin' Bad" and her most recent rock-infused tune, "Little Red Wagon." It was her fifth consecutive debut at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart, making her the first artist to start a career with five consecutive No. 1 albums. It is also Lambert's first album to reach the Billboard 200.

“That was a tough one, man,” Lambert said upon accepting the award, presented by Brantley Gilbert and country legend Clint Black. “I love all of those albums — I have all of them!"

Lambert was up against power hitters Dierks Bentley (Riser), Little Big Town (Pain Killer), Jason Aldean (Old Boots, New Dirt) and Eric Church (The Outsiders) for the top-shelf award.

Lambert’s producer, Frank Liddell, whom Lambert said “has produced every album [she’s] ever made,” stood on stage alongside her and thanked all of the musicians who had worked with them for years.

Garth Brooks took the stage at the 2015 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 19) to perform a powerful new song, "All-American Kid."
